Description
This advanced course is for all health and social care workers and will strengthen the knowledge gained from the level 1 foundation safeguarding vulnerable adults course by delving more into what’s involved in the safeguarding process.

Safeguarding adults is a key part of any Care Workers role when working with adults. This course provides a reminder of ways in which care workers can identify abuse or potential abuse and how they should report and follow up concerns; providing the vitally important information to enable staff to safeguard all within their care and beyond.

This course provides knowledge and understanding on key legislations relating to vulnerable adults, in particular; The Mental Capacity Act 2005 including DoLS, The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and the Human Rights Act 1998.

This course helps the health and social care worker to understand more about safeguarding processes and procedures and what happens after a referral to social care has been made.
