Care Certificate

Basic Life Support for Adults (bas-life-ad)

Description
This course is aimed at those who work with vulnerable adults in any capacity. It provides all care workers with the necessary knowledge and understanding on ways to keep those they care for safe. Early resuscitation can improve survival rates by up to 60%.
Basic life support must be understood in order to ensure vulnerable adults in our care are kept as safe as possible. This can only be achieved through rigorous and robust training. It is therefore vitally important that everyone who cares for others understands how to apply basic life support.
The Mental Capacity Act 2005 ensures carers work respectfully of individuals choices and decisions, where the person is deemed mentally capable to make these decisions.
This course covers the main aspects of basic life support; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO).

Please note – this online training does not provide you with a qualification in first aid. Further practical training must be completed.
