Description
This course is aimed at all those who work with children and young people, ensuring that they have the vital knowledge to promote the welfare of those in their care and keep them safe from harm.

Keeping children and young people safe should be a priority for everyone in early years sector. In order to do this effectively all staff must understand their role in safeguarding children and young people from harm and should be confident and competent in doing so.

The statutory framework for the EYFS states that providers must train all staff to understand their safeguarding policy and procedures, and ensure that all staff have up to date knowledge of safeguarding issues to ensure children are safeguarded from harm.

In line with the EYFS requirements, this course covers the signs of possible abuse and neglect at the earliest opportunity and how to respond in a timely and appropriate way.
