Description
The course is aimed at anyone that could encounter work related stress and mental illness in the workplace, including the employer’s legal responsibility to their staff.

Employers have a legal duty of care to ensure their staff are provided with a safe working environment therefore they must take reasonable care to prevent personal injury in the workplace (including mental or physical harm).

First Aid for mental health training has been proven to make a lasting difference in people’s knowledge and confidence around mental health and responsible employers are now seeing the positive benefits of considering mental health within the workplace.

This course provides an understanding of the role of the Mental Health First Aider in supporting employees in the workplace who are experiencing mental ill health or distress by having non-judgmental conversations through to guiding them towards the right support.
